China is vast country with a large population and aboundant resources.The long years
and rich cultural heritage create the 56 fraternal nationalities in our life today. Different
ecological environments, different histories and cultural backgrounds make many of
the nation has its own language, customs, culture, religion and other unique human
condition and landscape. Here I will introduce the representation Chinese dance of
various ethnic, which enables you to enjoy the arts and culture of various ethnic
charming features.

Yangko 【秧歌】
yangko, also called do the yangko dance, have a long historical standing. Yangko is one
of the most typical folk dance in china. It is also a kind of unique collective dance art in
the folk dance stage. Due to the colorful dancing posture, yangko is popular with most
people, especily farmers. Yangko has its own unique style, Generally speaking, the
dance team composed by more than a dozen people to hundreds of people. Yangko
often play historical stories, myths and legends and real-life characters while dancing
away, along with the drum rhythm, good at transforming a variety of formations, plus
dance colorful, welcomed by the majority of audiences

The pavane of the Dai nationality【傣族孔雀舞】
is our most prestigious folk dance，spreaded in Dai inhabited such as Ruili, Luxi and
Xishuangbanna, Meng Ding, Meng Da, Jinggu , Cangyuan in the Dehong Dai and Jingpo
Autonomous Prefecture. the most representative among them is Ruili Peacock(Dai
language as "Galuo courage") locked in western Yunnan. Peacock is the Dai people's
favorite folk dance。Dai Peacock mainly in solo, but there is also a double peacock. And
the dancers are mainly males. Peacock has rich and varied gestures movements and
jumping, transfer as well as other techniques, the limbs and trunk flexion and extension
of each joint to remake down, trembling body evenly, forming beautiful "three bends"
dance. With a relaxed and delicate style, pavane could express feelings in a exquisite
way. The posture of Peacock dancing is graceful and beautiful. It is the Wise Crystallize
of Dai people witch posses a higher aesthetic value。It is not only solo in important
ethnic festivals, often integrated in the dance "Ga light". Peacock has the significance to
maintain national unity and its representation makes it the most literate identity of Dai
dance.

peace drum dance【太平鼓】
Peace drum dance which also named single-drum is the north district of china. It can
be date back to Tang dynasty, prosperous in Ming and Qing dynasty. The props of
peace drum dance are peace drum. Folk artists call the peace drum dance which is
the symbol of "peace and happiness" as "sing rope".
The simple postures, local flavor, lively and diverse forms, rich local breath of "Peace
drum dance" attract all kinds of people. It has no limited in the number of people.
Despite of feudal superstition, the peace drum dance spread all over the world has
its own health and beautiful art luster. Generally, it performers in pairs, while shaking
drums ring, while jumping. Peace drum set competitive, fun and improvisation into
one. It is a typical folk dance of Beijing Han nationality which has a strong regional
cultural symbol. Jingxi peace drum is one types of peace drum dance which distinct
with others by the way of combine drum and dance.
