16 May // 12:30pm // XMandarin 16th floor
XMandarin’s Explorers of Qingdao will be back next Tuesday 16th to do our third trip.
After visiting Zhanshan temple, the cherry blossom in Zhongshan Park and experiencing the real taste and culture of the city in our last expedition it is time to enjoy some of the scenic areas of the city.
This time we will start our tour in Badaguan. Badaguan is one of the best places to embrace Qingdao, with the red tiled roofs, seasonal flowers, green trees, and the blue of the sea and sky; it’s a breath-taking view on a beautiful day.
The name Badaguan means “eight passes” (now increased to ten roads) and refers to the eight famous passes in the Great Wall of China. What makes Badaguan so popularis not just its natural scenery, but also its garden-like villas and foreign-styled buildings.
Then we will keep walking along the coast line, and we’ll see nº 1 and 2 Bathing Beach.
Finally we’ll arrive to Xiaoyushan park (Little Fish Hill park), one of our favourite spots of the city. From the top of the tower at these hilltop gardens, we will find superlative views of Qingdao’s attractive bays and major sights like LuXun Park, Zhanqiao Pier and Small Qingdao Island (there is a 10RMB entry ticket).
We will depart around 12:30 from XMandarin at the 16th floor. Everyone is welcome to join us, so feel free to invite your friends!!
