The trip to Zhanshan Temple and Zhongshan Park!

Last Thursday the XMandarin’s Explorers of Qingdao did their first expedition and it was a great success. We could visit the Zhanshan Temple and Zhongshan Park.

In our first stop we could discover more about religion, local traditions and contemplate the beauty of a Buddhist temple in downtown Qingdao. Our teacher Jessy explained the explorers different aspects of Buddhism and the ritual to pray and ask for knowledge, forgiveness... to Buddha.

Then we went to Zhongshan Park to enjoy one of its best sceneries throughout the year; the Cherry blossom. It is amazing to see these colourful trees and we couldn’t resist to take many pictures.

Finally we played a very traditional Chinese game called Jianzi. We still need some practice to achieve the level of local people, but we had a lot of fun!!!

We will do this kind of expeditions every two weeks and we hope you join us the next time.
