Horse

It is said that horses in ancient times had wings and they were called Pegasus. 
Pegasus acted pretty wildly as it was favored a lot by the Heavenly Emperor. One 
day, it attempted to barge into the Dragon Palace and killed a general during the 
chaos. A heavy punishment of cutting off its wings and be pressed under 
Mt.Kunlun for 300 years was appointed to it. 200 year later, the ancestor of human 
being passed by Mt.kunlun Pegasus implored to the ancestor that it would serve 
human being with all its life if he could help it out. The ancestor agreed and 
released it. In appreciation of the ancestor’s help. Pegasus accompanied him to 
the human world and served human being whole-heartedly, Since then, horses 
and human beings had become good friends. Later when the Heavenly Emperor 
wanted to choose twelve kinds of animals as zodiac, horse was recommended 
by man to be on the list.  
     该成语意指成功容易而且迅速，一开始就取得胜利。传说古时的马有双翅，叫天马。天马因天帝宠爱，经常胡作非为。一日，天马硬闯龙宫，踢死了神将，天帝便下令削去了天马双脚，并压在昆仑山下，300年不许翻身。200多年后，人类始祖——人祖，从昆仑上经过，天马喊道：“善良的人祖，快来救我，我愿随您到人世间，终生为您效力。”人祖听了，生出同情之心，救出了天马。天马为了答谢人祖的救命之恩，终生终世为人祖效劳。从此，马和人成了形影不离的好朋友。当天帝挑选十二种动物生肖时，马成了人类推选的动物之一，最终当上了生肖。
