我结过婚 / 我结婚了
“过”和“了”不一样
“过”and “了”are different.
1、“过”表示过去有这种经验，“了”表示一件事情的完成。
“过”stresses on the experience in the past, while “了”focuses on the end of an action.
·我结过婚 wǒ jié guò hūn
以前有结婚这种经历，但是现在已经又是单身了。
“结过婚”shows that he had a marriage experience in the past, but he is now single again.
·我结婚了 wǒ jié hūn le
意思是现在不是单身。
“结婚了”shows that he is not single now.
2、用“过”的时候，表示这个动作或者状态可能已经没有了，用“了”的时候，这个动作或者状态可能现在还有。
It is clear that “过” shows that an action or the state no longer exists, However, “了”shows that the action or state still exists.
·他去过美国。(他现在不在美国)
tā qù guò měi guó.
(He has once been in America.)
·他去美国了。(他现在在美国)
tā qù měi guó le.
(He went to America.)
3、用“过”可以解释、说明原因;用“了”可以描述一件事。
The “过” sentences are often used for explanation, while “了” sentences are used to describe an event.
·我去过颐和园，咱们换个地方玩儿吧。
wǒ qù guò yí hé yuán, zán men huàn gè dì fang wán ér ba.
·昨天是星期天，我去颐和园了。
zuó tiān shì xīng qī tiān, wǒ qù yí hé yuán le.
第一句“我去过颐和园”是说明“换个地方”的原因。第二句只是介绍昨天做了什么事。
The purpose of the first sentence is to explain a reason, while the second sentence is to describe the event yesterday.
我们结婚了 / 我们是上个月结的婚
“了”常用于过去的时间，因此“了”和“是……的”常被用混。
“了”is often used to describe a past action ,which sometimes causes confusion with the“是……的”sentence pattern.
A：昨天去哪儿了，怎么没来上课?
zuó tiān qù nǎ ér le, zěn me méi lái shàng kè?
B：我昨天病了，去医院了。
wǒ zuó tiān bìng le, qù yī yuàn le.
A：是谁陪你去的医院?
shì shuí péi nǐ qù de yī yuàn?
B：我是一个人去的。
wǒ shì yī gè rén qù de.
A：你是怎么去的?
nǐ shì zěn me qù de?
B：我是坐出租车去的。
wǒ shì zuò chū zū chē qù de.
当A不知道B昨天“病”和“去医院”的时候用“了”。在后边的句子中，A已经知道了B“生病”和“去医院”这件事，他们谈论的是关于去医院的方式方法，就可以用“是……的”句了。
“了” was used since A knew nothing about B’s illness, Once A knows that B was ill and has gone to see a doctor, “是……的”pattern is used to ask and answer the questions about how did B go to the hospital.
