Appreciating the Essence of the Chinese Art at the Chinese Park

After we talked so much about learning Chinese, let’s see the Chinese art at the Chinese park.

In the Xinjiang Pavilion is located in theChineseParkof theWorldHorticulturalExpoPark. There is a Xinjiang style building. The square –shape building has a deep front corridor. Within the house, there is a niche, in which various kinds of patterns characteristics of the vernacular building of Xinjiang. Between the building and the screen wall facing the gate of the building, there is a green sky dome created from Xinjiang grapes. Under the grape trellis is the dance venue, which makes people associate the venue with the merry life of the Uyghur people tasting melons, playing the dutar and dancing lightly.

Hubei Pavilion is located in the central area of theChineseParkof theWorldHorticulturalExpoPark, bordering on the Heilongjiang Pavilion and Ningxia Pavilion and coving an area of roughly 1,600 square meters. By adopting some elements of the Chu culture, it makes a display of the historical cultural of theChuState. The central attraction is the sculpture of Qu Yuan- a representative figure of the historical cultural of Jing andChu. A spiraling space-time cultural wall is set as the background. The sculpture is named “Dream Coming True”, an illusion to the “Chinese dream” put forward by the CPC Central Committee.

Guangxi Pavilion takes “Let the World listen to our voice” as the design theme. The Pavilion is decorated with the abstract elements of the special characteristics of Guangxi. The entire graphic layout looks like a music note. Walking in the pavilion, at every scenic site, the tourists can see and experience the different special characteristics of Guangxi and hear the voices of flowing water, bronze drum, folk songs and wind-chime of the big leaf hydrangea, which makes a full display of Guangxi’s simple, natural, ecological and natural gardening scenic sites.

Beijing Pavilion covers a land area of 2,465 square meters and is located at the northernmost end of theChinesePark. Beijing Pavilion adopts the traditional quadrangle layout, which forms a scenic structure of “one axis, four points and five sites”, thus showing the theme of “beautifulBeijing, living in the residential quadrangle”. Within the pavilion, screen wall, Chuihua gate (the secondary gate in a traditional Chinese courtyard with characteristic inverted carved poles), principal room and hexagonal pavilion make up the main axes and symbolic scenic sites. The entrance area, courtyard and back garden form the core display area.

Ningxia Pavilion covers an area of 1158.83 square meters and is located in the themedChinesePark. It is close to theGardeningCultureCenter, which is one of the four main buildings in the park. Both the eastern side and western side of Ningxia Pavilion border on the major trunk roads in the park. Since ancient times, Ningxia has been honored as a fertile land beyond the Great Wall.HelanMountain, which lies across the northwest of Ningxia, Protects the purelandofNingxiaas a natural screen. The time-honored history, diversified topographical features, Muslim customs cover Ningxia like a mysterious veil.

Guizhou Pavilion is located in the southerly area of theChinesePark. To the south , it borders on the Chongqing Pavilion. To the north, it is adjacent to the Qinghai Pavilion. To the east, it faces the river, to the west, it is nearby the public square. With a unique geographic location, the pavilion covers an area of 954 square meters. A grand horn arch is the entrance to the pavilion. On the front side of the arch, the artistic style Chinese characters “Guizhou” are carved. On the arch, three horns are imbedded, which symbolize the special ox culture ofGuizhou.
