Celebrating Chinese Valentine’s at XMandarin

The twinkling lights were strung and we transformed XMandarin into a charming place to come and celebrate Valentine’s with your sweetheart and other friends.

七夕冷餐会已经过去了两周的时间，

大家是不是对那些美妙的时刻还记忆犹新呢。

我们再一起来回顾一下吧!

Chinese Valentine’s day celebrates the romantic legend of two star-crossed lovers, a cowherd and a weaver maid who are separated by the Goddess of Heaven when she uses her hairpin to create the Milky Way between them.

But once a year, all the magpies of the world take pity on the two and their children, and form a bridge for them to be reunited for a single day.

传说中，

牛郎织女被迫分离，

虽是不完美的爱情，

但也造就了一段佳话。

而在XMandarin，

每天都有甜蜜的事情发生。

这个七夕我们再次来到这里，

空气中弥漫着爱情的清香，

而相爱的人就在你的身边。

We enjoyed delicious western style appetizers catered by Cecilia’s Sweets, including stuffed peppers, panini sandwiches and specially designed heart shaped sweets.

当别人还吹着夏日的热风，

打着太阳伞，穿着短裤短裙，

在大街上吃啤酒烤串儿的时候，

XMandarin已经为大家准备好了奶酪、三明治、蛋糕、饼干、水果、啤酒、饮料…

美食已经准备好，

As guests entered, they walked down the candle lit red carpet and a single red rose was given to each lady.

他们一起牵手走过红毯，

手持玫瑰花，

在大家的见证下来到签名版前，

合影留念。

Whether they had been in Qingdao just one week or ten years, each guest enjoyed the evening with new & old friends. Beer and wine was provided for the evening.

无论是刚刚到中国几个月的新面孔，

还是已经呆了几年的“老青岛”，

在美食美酒的气氛烘托下，

每个人都尽情的享受着这美好的夜晚。

是简餐，也是盛宴。

We had music & activities throughout the night, for both singles and couples.

Everyone had a chance to win chocolates, free classes & discounts from XMandarin and other fun Valentine’s inspired prizes.

不管是情侣还是单身的朋友，

都在游戏中收获了欢笑和惊喜。

巧克力、香槟、中文课程优惠券，

当然还有神秘礼物。

We played “Cupid’s Couple Challenge” and discovered ‘who has the smelliest feet’ and ‘who is worse with directions’. Our grand prize was given to the couple who could get the most identical answers without consulting.

Prizes were given to ‘the couple who had travelled to the most countries together’ and ‘the person with the most WeChat friends’,etc.

We all enjoyed a fun evening filled with tasty food, fun activities & prizes and new friends from all over the world!
